Got a stag do this weekend.... my own!
About 9 of us going, where is good!?
I was there a few years ago, hit up Blu Bamboo and wandered around some random places. Last time i was there i spotted a boat which i thought was a Casino... but now i think about it. It may have just been a boat! hah

I'm a local. The best pubs to go to - by far - are:
Bar at the Branding, Jesmond, NE2 4RS
The North Terrace, Spital Tongues
In the centre, go to Venue nightclub on Market Street, on a Friday or Saturday night, after about 10.
In think you can get free tickets for Venue at Bar at the Brandling.

t hole!Decent places: Start on Osborne Road, probably Bar Berlise and Osbornes but theres plenty to choose from, then for town Tup Tup and Madame Koo's in the city centre, Sea down on the Quayside are good. Normally some decent eye candy in those places as well!

DO NOT go down Osborne Road, as it's full of kids fighting.
Venue's a bit of a dive. Osbourne road is full of footballer wannabes and lashed up students. Shame as it used to be decent. Whitley Bay I've never understood the attraction, it's a sh*thole.
Bar wise, depends what you're after really.
The living room, The Cluny etc are decent starting points, bit more relaxed and upmarket than the usual Newcastle stuff, which is good before going on to have a messy night. Centurion next to the station does a decent pint, not exactly amazing inside though. Much the same story across the road at Head of Steam - student central but there's loads of good beers normally. Revolution isn't too bad, great if you like Vodka, Floritas, Tup Tup, Madame Koo's and Tiger Tiger are worthy of a look depending on where you end up. We normally finish off in World Headquarters which I love personally, great atmosphere in there.

This. Simple as.A lot of the bars suggested are good bars, but many are just not great "stag" bars, IMO of course. Can't go wrong with the quayside for stag do's, IMO (which ironically, as a local, is why I dont go there often!). Outside of the quayside, the only other places I'd go for a stag is the gate and surrounding bars, and maybe the bigg market (which you would go through anyway if you started at the gate). Sam Jacks next door to the gate would be a good choice, perhaps Idols just down the road from Sam Jacks, and although slightly off the beat and track (but the quay is only 5 minutes away), Linekers would be worth a look as well.

Blastaway, that takes me back to my early teens.Yes Bigg market is an option, it's just that the quayside is better.
Agree with those that have suggested avoiding the conventional 'good' pubs and bars. If these are the same places that I like, they tend to be relatively quiet and not the sort of place you want to turn up at as a Stag Do at. You won't enjoy it and the other customers certainly won't. I'd stick to the 'party' pubs. Quayside has Off shores, quilted Camel, Chase and loads of others. They'll all be a laugh but not the sort of places you'd go for a quiet pint.
Osborne Road might be good for a few afternoon pints in the sunshine before things get rowdy but I don't think it's a particularly stag friendly place in the evening.
Whitley Bay is a bit of a dive but is actually probably ok for a Stag Do.
