Crash outside Fawdington Mini tonight Cerbera vs Corsa
Discussion
Just wondering if this was anyone on here? Bright Yellow Cerbera got done up the rear by a Corsa. The damage didnt look drastic but guessing the TVR will be a write off due to parts supply and the rear bumper being Fibreglass and I believe merges into the 1/4 panel will meen it wont be a cheap repair.
Not expecting the corsa owner to be on here but if the TVR owner is, gutted for you

Don't let insurance write your car off by ways of a ridiculous quote from their chosen repairer if you don't want it to - get a realistic one from one of the TVR specialist repairers known within the community.
Yeah good advice, insurance have no say in were the car gets fixed thats your choice.Fex2005 said:

Lots of cracked fibreglass, hoping for the best, gutted is an understatement.
Sorry to hear about the Cerb AdamLots of cracked fibreglass, hoping for the best, gutted is an understatement.
Pete A here - I spoke to you in your office car park a few weeks back when I had just traded my Cerb for a Griff500.
Nightmare! hope you get the car sorted
Maybe let them write the car off as category C or D, get the insurance pay out and then ask to buy the car back from them. You can probably get it fixed cheaper yourself, or if you wanted, split the car for parts.
I ended up getting a £4k payout for a car and then bought it back for £50, which was the cost to them to get rid of the car. Still haven't got round to fully fixing the car but parts alone would easily run to £1500 without much pushing.
Just my 2p.

Yes, very good advice, I heard of someone crashing theirs and the insurance co said to write it off, they and the repairing garage argued that the price they offered could never buy a car in that condition and the insurance Co finally relented and had the car repaired and not written off.Gassing Station | North East | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
