I know its been asked countless times before but anyway, can anyone recommend a body shop, other than Heaton Coachworks, for a front end respray (bumper, bonnet and wings). Also, I've been to a couple of places already and I'm getting mixed answers with regards to blending, one place said it was necessary to blend the paint on the wings into the doors, another said it wasn't necessary as my car is black and it only needs to be done on lighter coloured vehicles and silver etc.

Thoughts?

Hi,

The blending of the paint onto other panels can be required depending on a few factors, but one main one is the age or condition of the paint on the rest of the car.

We may be able to help, www.rodandcustombodyshop.co.uk , drop me an email with some details if you wish, we are based in Birtley

cheers

Depending on where you are, RMB in Yarm are brilliant - no idea on pricing though.

I have had work done there previously, and have seen first hand inside and work being done.

I really wish I had my last job done elsewhere, but too late to do anything about it now, so i'm lumped with it until I can set aside enough 'housekeeping' to have it all redone.

They have turned out some good stuff mind you, so I guess its just hit and miss.

Can tell you a few stories from there over the years......might be a lot better now though.

I think it got a load of new staff a few years ago - all I know is, they did a better job repairing my mum's old car, than Peugeot did building it in the first place...
