I'm not sure there's all that much difference really. If you want an 'aggressive' one it'll cost you more as you ps off your other half, make it acrimonious and drag it out.
Having been though this process recently, i can say my (soon to be ex) wife's was pretty good (Beecham Peacock, Newcastle)
My only advice would be ask around for advice (as you are, i know) and not worry about free consultations as paying for 1/2 an hour is nothing in the long run.
It also depends where they are based. Newcastle city you'll pay £250/hr, Darlington you'll pay £130/hr and the difference inst necessarily the quality of advice, just the quality of the furniture in the offices.
