I was just wondering if anyone knows the timetable for the show? I know the general displaying times are something like 10-6, but I was hoping someone may know what times specific planes are flying?

The reason I ask is that I can't actually make it up there tomorrow sadly and so wont be able to get hold of a program, but I was thinking of installing myself at the end of Durham Tees Valley runway with my camera to see the B-52 and a few others taking off/landing!

I dont know times, but I think most, with the exception of the b52, are based at Newcastle airport, who are opening a viewing area to the public this year due to their anniversary.

do you know where the viewing area is? Is it by the public Terminal or by the flight school side?

I was at the airport today and had a low and fast fly over from the hawker hunter which did a full roll towards the end of the runway biggrin

As posted above you won't see much Airshow Traffic at DTV, they haven't flown out of there for a couple of Years.

I suspect the B52 will fly in from Farnborough and straight back as it's also displaying there over the weekend. At a guess i would say it will come up the Coast and over the lighthouse like the Vulcan did last year.

I can't find a schedule anywhere, which isn't unusual to be honest. I'm still undecided as to whether i want to brave the Park & Sweat service either.

Bugger! Really? I was under the impression that quite a few of the planes were stationed at DTV as its much quieter than NCL and so they can get better turn around times.

Also read something about the B52 flying over south gare the other day so presumed it would have been on approach to DTV.....

Almost everything came out of Newcastle last year too, except for the Vulcan which flew off to Windermere then back to Brize Norton IIRC.

I seem to remember someone telling me there was some sort of disagreement with DTV management, but i've slept & drunk a fair amount of booze since then smile

Ok i've just been down there today. Highly recommended. Same programme tomorrow, just get there for 1pm and you'll see everything. All very interesting and entertaining.

We went to the Ncle airport viewing area yesterday. Its a fenced off area to the south west of the runway. Head to the old aviation building and its about 50 yards up the road, large blue temporary fencing, can't miss it. Most the aircraft did a few low level fly-bys. Good stuff if you're patient to wait between planes. May go again today depending on other things.

I went to the viewing area today with my flatmate, expecting it to be a Terminal area. We were surprised it was where it was, as that inner road, if you carry on, will take you round the back of the runway to the terminal!

Saw the Emirates take off which was awesome because they had sent in a 777 for the airport's anniversary! Apparently BA had sent a 747 for the Heathrow flight as well!!!!

I was at Newcastle on Sunday. Arrived about 11.30 ish as all i knew was the show started at 10am in Sunderland so thought flights must be setting off from Newcastle about then. A hell of a lot of waiting until stuff started to happen at about 1pm ish. Even then it was a slow trickle of things flying in and out. Finally left around 2.30pm due to boredom. Nevermind smile

They started cooking burgers at 10am but the flying didnt start until after 1.30pm. That would explain your waiting around.
