It is quiet, everyone just contemplating the next day out I suppose.

Incidentaly Bob, I have the piccies from the off-road day all ready to post on t'internet, but my FTP program is playing silly buggers and wont let me upload them. I'll crack it soon, just as soon as I get the Jeep repaired and the trailer fixed - mudguard dropped off.

I'm pretty much out of most things until May really as my S has again dropped another bombshell on me in the form of a bust exhaust manifold. So any spare cash that I don't have is going towards the get Chris a new manifold/exhaust fund.

If I didn't know better I'd think you were fishing for posts so we don't get overtaken by Yorks region.

I don't think that would ever happen. If somthing is happening before the 2nd of April I'd love to come along. I'll bring a DV camera if someone's got a spare passenger seat.

I had the gti on the road for 4 days and 200 miles, and it broke again

The box isn't right, I can't get 2nd at all and 1st is a battle, and it's decided to leak all it's oil out. I *think* it's just the NSF driveshaft oil seal but I'll have to find out, that's what I'll be doing on the weekend...

You'll have to get this car back on the road soon or you'll miss out on the next run too. It sounds like linkage if both first and second are goosed

Does anybody want to offer me a passenger seat for the next run?

Where, when is it happening? Next weekend IIRC?

I'd offer you a lift Chris, but I don't think I can make it due to working.

Tom is often passengerless. He's not posting very often these days but I'm sure somebody will have a seat for you.

I was planning on initially going with Tom, but seeing if anyone else had a seat free, for different camera angles.

If we do a good few miles this would work well. You could be a roving passenger and even take up the seats of existing passengers to get a video perspective from many cars. I'm sure we know each other well enough that any displaced passengers would find a seat elsewhere temporarily.

It's the 1st and 2nd gear synchro's bob, there's a place fairly local (gateshead) who do rebuilds and internal repairs so I'm just going to let them get on with it.

Just thought I'd hop over here and see what you're all upto.

Bomb, I had a look at your profile pic and would've emailled you but you don't have an email address in your profile. Are you aware that you can see the street name in your picture? Just thought it may be wise to blank it out. Very nice car BTW.

Right, I'll be off then.
