First of all; I love this section and thanks for helping me out so far as I'm relatively new to the area.

To cut a long story short, I got my bumper on my 360 resprayed, but the paintshop (while doing a fantastic job on the bumper) thought they would help me out and polish all the car. They have done a horrible job and the paintwork looks like sh*t. There are horrible streaks all over the body work and it is really in a very sorry state. I don't think they were skilled enough to polish the car. There are also lots of swirlies which I want to get rid of. (The streaks are quite deep and I am praying they will come off with a good polish and it doesn't need a respray) There is also a massive 1inch wide buffer trail going all across the bonnet which is visible even without sunlight!

I don't know much about detailing and the different techniques involved (polishing, waxing, claying, sanding etc..) and need a very good and competent detailer in the Newcastle area who can try and get the paint all put right and charge me for what the car needs. I've never had a good experience with professional detailers; I feel the car always comes back with more swirlies than it went in with so I need to be very careful who I chose. I don't want any more "professionals" messing up my car.

Any personal recommendations in/around the Newcastle area?

Cheers

Bespoke Auto Detailing (Mobile) are top notch. wink

I've had two Porsche's detailed, both with very dull, swirl marked & wash marred paintwork and the results were amazing after full paint correction.

Have a trawl through here:

And perhaps ask the question again on there as well.

I would give heaton Park coachworks a shout. Paul does a fair few detailing jobs and is very good at getting swirl marks out. He is very passionate about the work he does.
