Viking Raid. July 2010 NEPH Drive Out.
Discussion
Hi all
Time to organise our next meet and drive out for those interested. Saturday 24th July, early start, we'll be meeting in the Newcastle area and taking a decent scenic drive up to Holy Island, browse around, then scenic alternative route back home. We'll include various opportunities for stops, photos, cuppas and pig sarnies along the way.
As usual all cars welcome, enthusiastic but strictly family friendly driving please.
Anyone interested reply to the thread and I'll add you to this opening post. Also attendees unable to make it please let me know so your place can be offered to others. Exact details, locations, times etc will be emailed a couple of weeks before hand.
Please note because of causeway crossing times this is a morning event, ie an early start, and we will return home shortly after lunchtime.

1. 2Woody, Opel Evo500
2. CooperST, Mini Cooper S R56
3. CrammyJay, Mazda 3 MPS

Im in two minds about this. Being a fairly new driver i dont think i have the experience to enjoy a drive with you all, although i do love a good hoon on a b road. A few other things like not knowing many of you's and owning a car that most of you would class as a chav mobile sorta puts me off.
I'd be happy to pop a long for an hour if you've stopped off somewhere though if thats okay. I dont think i'd drive to Holy Island for a hour though so maybe a little bit closer to Teeside

Its up to you Kurt, you and your car are more than welcome should you choose, although the pace is usually enthusiastic, we pause regularly and dont leave anyone behind.I'd be happy to pop a long for an hour if you've stopped off somewhere though if thats okay. If you do want to come along in your car fine, if you dont, alternative suggestions would be
1) Meet us at the start for a bit banter if you fancy.
2) Come along and blag passenger rides for the day, many cars tend to be driver only, so plenty of opportunity to sample a range of cars. My passenger seat is likely to be free if you fancy it, the offer is there.
Sean.

Cheers chaps. I'll definatly have a think about it. I may have passed my bike test by then so i might have something with a bit more pace than my icle Corsa. But we will see. If you plan to stop anywhere in the area, i'd love to know and pop along
