We are kinda taking over the Show us yours motors thread so it makes sense to create a new thread as i'm getting quite a bit of interest.

Myself, Kurt and ARPhotographs are offering some photoshoots so I think it would make sense if we get all the cars together and have a group shoot.

I'm not very good at planning so I think we should meet up and then take it from there.

I propose meeting at the Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge at 1pm on Saturday 1st May.

NEW MEETING POINT.... WOLVISTON SERVICES AT 1PM

I've been over there today with road hog and got some good shots.

Anyone is welcome to come, no matter what you drive.

Peter, Blakey is a nice spot and a great drive but I think we could do a little better with the backdrop location.

Don't get me wrong, the scenery is stunning but how about some interesting commercial space, derelict garage or industrial park, more emphasis on the cars and less of the background?

Food for thought...

well i'm up for looking for some urban/industrial as it does work better than some countryside for cars.

some cases just a tatty wall will work

that was a blue wall, nothing special (apart from a tuned 600ish bhp tuscan)

If anyone with a fancy car fancies a drive about middlesbrough to find locations and to some test shots, i could maybe spare a bit of time on sunday.

Yeah I get what you mean. Had some chew with the overcast sky today so an alternative location would great.

I also wanted to grab a bite to eat at the Lion Inn aswell as the food is great smile

Carl, is there any large warehouse doors near your place we could use?

I reconise your name, not sure where from though smile. And i also reconise a few of the cars in your photos, GazPark from Corsa C. Good photos.

So yes, next Saturday should be good for me. Are there any other places we can go though? Dont get me wrong, nice place, nice run out too. But im sure we could get something equally nice, and slightly quieter, somewhere closer. Just a thought. smile

Middlehaven in Middlesbrough is a good place. I've been round there a few times and its very urban like. Behind the new college if you dont know where im on about.

Sweet Nath.

Are people happy to meet at Blakey and then move onto another location or would it be wiser to meet at Wolviston services or somewhere?

The services seem like a wiser choice to me if we are doing urban shots.

Pete, sounds like a great idea, but Saturdays are no good for me. Be up for doing this another time though.

That's a shame Tim. Would have liked to get some of the CSL.

Right. I'm making an executive decision (tongue out) and changing the meeting point to Wolviston services on Saturday at 1pm.

I hope this is ok for people. smile

Donkeys years back I took one of my bikes down to Seal Sands Road for some atmospheric dusk shots, with all the lights of the plants behind... worked quite well.

Should be picking me new bike up on Saturday but have to go to York so won't make it up to the Lion, maybe next time...
