Just a thought for a simple venue to meet.

How about the large parking area behind Gosforth race course? Between the race course and the golf course.

Should be less hassle than Harewood?

it isn't as nice tho, imagine the potential back drop of a nice house... then of course you have the BNG type affair when, once you have wandered through the cars, chatted to people you can have a wander around the castle/into the physical building...
