It's been a couple of years since I've been 'actively' involved in NEPH shenanigans, due to the type of cars I've owned and things going on work/lifewise.

However, I've been back for the past few months and something has just hit me...

Where've all the oldies gone from here? The likes of tvrbob (and his organisational/trackday skills), wedg1e, Trackside, byff?

I noticed a few are still active around the rest of PH but have dropped off from the North East?

Where's Bob gone?

I miss the old days cry

Anybody got an insight?

Bobfather AKA tvrbob. PH is still a great place and I'm on here every day, I just don't post on PH much these days. I took on the role of TVRCC regional and national organiser a few years back then started organising events for another local car club.

I don't think I'll ever part with it, I wear it like a glove.

Yes, the car does stretch round you:-) Sorry could make it the other day Bob. My rebuilt engine doesn't like the cheap stuff thats only available at the pumps at the moment.

Unfortunate indeed that you couldn't make it; your car would have been fun on the passes. Near vertical climb onto one of them, much fun trying to feather the power in the heavy TVR, much more suited to your R500

Bob, I'm still lurking on here most days.
The Marcos is coming along nicely, albeit very slowly due to a number of setbacks.
We had the first trial fit of the body last weekend.
I should have a rolling car by the end of the year, if not sooner.
Hope to out playing in it end of 2011.
It'll be worth the wait, honest!

Hi Chris, that car has been in the build stage for years. It'll all be worth it when you finally get it back on the road. Send me a PM when you've got it sorted, I'd love to come and see it again.

I'm still here, but the NE forum seems to be swamped with hot hatches and Lotuses these days wink and for the last couple of years I've done fifty times as many miles on the bike as I have in the TVR. No point in bringing a bike to a PH drive-out, I'd have to keep stopping for the so-called sports cars to catch up wink I suppose I could film you all from my lofty perch... actually, maybe that's not a bad idea... scratchchin

Was out with Dexy last night; he's making noises about getting another TVR so like the Terminator... he'll be back biggrin

Wow, was it really 2008 the last time I came out for a run?

This is the first time I've been back on PH for years - looking for a replacement/refurb turbo so wanted to check for recommendations and found this thread.

The bad news mate is that you are officially classed as an 'oldie' and yes, it was 2008.

Nice to hear from you again Zebs and yes, I'm now officially middle aged - time to go out and buy myself an outrageously fast sports car, oh wait - I've already done that hehe

There is a strong temptation to buy another TVR, kids are nearly all grown up now.

Helps the kids on their way by selling them and buying the sports car [again] sooner. And when you said outrageously fast you meant outrageously fast and louder than tornado jet.
