Anyone know a good hand car wash place in Newcastle area?

One where several cash only, no papers, well hard Poles (other Europeans welcome)wash your car for you.

Good enough to take a TVR for example.

Ta.

Having seen the majority of these guys leaving their brushes/sponges on the floor and getting covered in grit, I wouldn't go near any of them

Do it yourself and save the risk of getting scratches/swirlies in your paint smile

i must agree, i sometimes tand and stare in amazement at the techniques they use - id stay well away, specially with a tvr which has very thin and soft paint anyway

Depending how far you'd want to travel, I might be able to help?

If you know a good one I'll travel anywhere between Newcastle and Leeds.

I know somw don't use clean cloths or sponges.

Equally, some are meticulous about avoiding grit.

That's why I asked.

All the expensive motors in Leeds go to the York Road hand wash.

That's where I used to go.

Now resident even more up North.

As mentioned by others already mate, I have a great knowledge of car care and detailing and would be happy to help a fellow PH'er out.

An example of a few cars I've done, including my own...

I'll not name or give hyperlinks due to site rules, but very good chap down in Pelton, next to Chester-le-Street. We spent best part of a day with him recently, and he knows his stuff inside out, has a substance for every job you could imagine, has very good site facilities, and pays great attention to detail. Google is your friend to find him, or PM me if stuck.

I dont think so, I dont think anything beyond the usual swirls is his cup of tea, he's more into polishing/waxing/detailing type stuff. Could be worth asking though.

Thanks for all the detailer err details.

I'm looking for a £6 hand job IYKWIM not a £100 proper show clean with clay bars.

Must be somewhere round here that can wash a car without scratching it to pieces.

Theres a big place on the west road in newcastle that always does a decent job on mine.... but to be fair, I'm nowhere near as precious about my car as most on here - indeed, my paint work is already far from ideal, but I'm always happy enough with the results from that place.

LOL.

I've done plenty of car washing in my time.

These days I'd rather pay someone else as long as they don't wreck the car.

Obviously, if the sun was out and the neighbourhood divorcee was washing her car wearing those 'special' shorts, then I could be persuaded biggrin.
