Hot Hatch Project.

Hello All,

I'm a local photographer and have had a project in mind for the last few years and this year i'm going to make a start on it! The idea is to try and photograph a history of the hot hatch for a website. i intend to start with the current crop of Hot hatches(focus Rs, Megane 250 etc) with a little help from local dealers, then work my way back to the originals(Golf Gti, 205 gti etc), where piston head readers may come in!

So I need firstly help with the list, then possibly help with cars to photograph.
So my list currently consists of:

Yikes......what have I let myself in for! The list at the moment consists of about 70 cars! I get the feeling this is gonna be a BIG PROJECT!
Actually really looking forward to getting started on it, gonna be cool to see and photographs all these pieces of history. Aiming to get nice artistic shots and a good "image bank" for each car, so not just a single boring image of each one.
So if anyone has a car on the list(especially the older stuff) please drop me a line if you fancy getting involved and having your car photographed and included.
(preferably cars close to original spec)

Oh I forgot, Nova Rally, Nova SR, Nova SRI, Mitsibushi Colt CZT, Corolla T Sport.

This list is way way more than 70 cars, you may want to narrow it by some criteria eg all time classics first and things that started new trends etc. The big list I posted contains a few cars that are only hot-hatches in spirit not power, also some are homologation specials rather than true mainstream hot hatches. Oh and by todays standards things like the sierra cosworth and escort cosworth could also be considered hot hatches.

Thanks for that, i'm going to work through an refine the list and then i'll make a start on the photography. Aiming to do current and recent stuff initially to get things off the ground so i'll be in touch in the next few weeks to make arrangements. Where are you based?

Brilliant, the Lupo definately, hopefully I can blag a Focus ST from a dealer. I am from newcastle but think a trip to Leeds area may be required to get some shots, may be a little while but i'll be in touch when the time comes.

as said, the list could be huge if you include homologation specials. (integrale etc?)
