Ok so not really car related!....but would appreciate a personal recommendation if anybody knows a good plumber? have some radiators that are not heating up and don't respond to bleeding.

low pressure maybe? refill/top up the system

edit: my Uncle is a plumber in Barnard Castle as it happens

Thanks Hugo, I think it might be that the pipes/rad's are blocked up and need some pressure putting through them, somebody else has suggested that worse case is that the system need dismantling and cleaning.....small bore pipes about ten years old....Cheers Steve

i would have thought that just the rads themselves might need flushing out, but 10 years isn't that old

Will give that a go...maybe let me have your Uncles number in case I need a plumber after all?...am U/S at DIY !

depending on the system you have it could be easy to put a cetral heating cleaner in the system call a plumber will probably cost about £60 if your not to confident to do it yourself

Try Chris Chapman on 01325 358465. He's Corgi registered etc. Put in a central heating system for parents in law and put in additional radiators to my place. V good and reliable. Central heating system worked better after he looked at it.
