Right. Now the weather's clearing up, I want to get some of the niggly jobs done on my car. One of which is the Blaupunkt Travelpilot, which has decided that it really likes Absolute Radio - and leaves the display blank, and none of the buttons work apart from the on-off.

So, I need some sort of Blaupunkt repairer to take a look - any recommendations? Or a good auto-sparky or ICE specialist?

Only place I knew of that did repairs on car stereos was in stockton, I think they moved to somewhere near splash years back but haven't seen them open for ages.

If it's one of those flip-front things it could be a severed ribbon cable. There again it might be a dry joint, supply rail fault or a popped IC... so almost anything then biggrin
I used to do ICE repairs in my last job... but that was 16 years ago and electronics density has moved on a bit since then. A lot of stuff is nigh-on irrepairable, either because you cant get the parts or you physically can't work on the circuit boards due to the miniature components (ever taken a mobile phone apart...?).
