Rolling road tuning in the North East?
Discussion
There's someone with a Tuscan who had a,I think, Link or something fitted and mapped at TurboPacs in Durham. He seemed happy with it.

Motorscope in Darlington are one of the best in the North East. Richard is very well respected.

In fact, I know Simon is in the North East this Friday (13th) to do 2 cars (both mates of mine) if anyone is intrested in getting a remap. Best to contact Simon direct at www.e-maps.co.uk.
Motorscope are the only decent one I've found in the north east but I generally prefer travelling a bit further afield depending on what car / ECU I'm using. Some places are great with some ECU's and not others, same goes for cars.
For the MX5 I'd suggest going on their owners club(s) and see where others a going, a good tuner will get people coming from all over the country.

Been to most of the rolling roads in the north east, and Motorscope are the only one's i now trust with my car... Richard is a great guy and really loves what he does.

Ive been to Mcdonalds, nice polite chaps but the setup is ancient and they sem to lack the knowledge when it comes to modern stuff, nothing against them they do what they know, and do it well.
Both mine and my sons cars were tuned at PDtuning on their dyno dynamics rolling road, very nice facilities and more knowledge with the more modern stuff that I could understand. Did a great job of mine and my sons cars as well as lots of friends and colegues cars, while I was there they had a few race cars as well as a porsche twin turbo 966 for work. Good prices and friendly staff. A bit more expensive than some others, but I put that down to the old 'you get what you pay for' scenario.

I am sure others have had good and bad experiences at these places, thats the way things go. I used to use Well Lane Turbocentre in leeds, they get lots of bad press on forums and get slated a lot, however I was always 100% happy with their service.

A colleague of mine had real problems with a TVR after it was mapped by them so wouldn't recommend them.Motorscope in Darlington are one of the best in the North East. Richard is very well respected.

I use their rolling road for all my mapping but obviously I do the mapping myself. Their rollers are rated to 350bhp and they have always been fine for everything I have done.
I have seen and heard of nightmares from all rolling road places and I wouldn't trust anyone in the North East to map a car for me.
