MY PORSCHE 997 GT3 RS PICS AND WRITE UP!
Discussion
Good evening all,
I AM BACK IN PORK!
Well last week I picked up my new P&J, a 2007/56 997 GT3 RS in Black with Orange decals. The extra`s spec includes, PCCB (in great condition), PCM sat-nav with telephone module, sport chrono, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Rear section Roll cage in Orange and Red Scroth Profi II-6 Harness`s, the car has done approx 9,000 miles to date.....I will be using the car regular, weather permitting of course, so the miles will creep up!..........
So far I have found this car out to be nothing short of AMAZING!
I`m hooked on the noise when the "sport" button is switched on, not that I will be ever switching it off.
The driving position with the bucket seats is perfect, the steering & set up of the car feels just about right and so inline with the car. (I still may get the car booked into Gravity Centre with Chris, just to see if it can be bettered, for fast road use).
Coming out of a 996, the interior feels much fresher & modern, with a few more luxuries, takes me back to my old 997 C2S.
The ride is firm, but not too harsh, the car does seem to take the "lean of the road" so to speak, so full concentration is needed, on my half anyhow....I will be trying like mad not to have another 996 GT2 moment, even if it was "a non fault accident" in my case....thats all in the past now, just waiting for final settlement payout. We`ll get there some day!
I`ve had the car just over a week, since then I think I`ve had about 2 dry days driving. Was over some glorious roads in the Whitby area last week and it was dry, had a chance to open her up a bit abd enjoy her on some open roads, she felt and sounded fantastic!
The car has a stance and statement on the road, that rear end just sticks out like a sore thumb and just looks so damm sexy! I love a widebody Porsche
In My Opinion the RS makes an entrance every where it goes, but I suppose with a soundtrack like it, you would certainly hear it first!
After one week with this marvel of a car I can say, I love it, underdstand what all the fuss about them was and also reckon Porsche got it just about right with this one...
I`ve been without a car (apart from my stty hire cars) for just over a year during this insurnace mess and I have missed out on so much, now I feel like the luckiest bloke alive...This car is a credit to Porsche...
Thanks for reading and all the best, pics attached

To be honest I cant stand it.....
But I am a jealous sort of chap at times
Seriously,
Looks very nice. Take car of it especially as the crap weather is soon upon us.
I hope that if my new business venture takes off I will to have a fun car again.
just one question if you dont mind, How did you get on at northeast detaling? I could do with getting my 528 "buffed up"
