Shamelessly double-posted from Biker Banter... biggrin

I spotted two cars pulled up on Stockton's Riverside Road yesterday, with Mr. Plod in attendance scribbling furiously in his ticket-book.

Then I clocked his bike...! yikes

If it wasn't a Harley it was doing a bloody good impression of one. Teardrop tank, big V-twin, panniers, lots of chrome.

Had Cleveland Police on the tank so I know I didn't imagine it.

Good to know they're spending my Council Tax wisely... rolleyes

Council Tax probably has very little to do with it. If they've bought it they get huge discounts on most vehicles, or, as is more likely, it's on some sort of trial scheme and probably cost them nothing.

I'm informed (see Biker Banter) that it's a promotional thing to do with the Bikewise scheme. It's still clearly an operational vehicle though...

S'pose I'd rather they spent money on that than speed humps... wink - and don't get me started on the pointless mini-roundabout they've just put in Norton High Street banghead
