Shotblasting. Radio fitters. Windscreen.
Discussion
I'll say now, the three aren't linked - but I'm in Stockton, and need these three services -
Firstly, I need an engine block shotblasting - any recommendations and idea on pricing?
Secondly - I need the windscreen taking out of my parts car and putting into my working car - idea on pricing?
Thirdly - I need a radio fitting and wiring in, with GPS aerial - anyone handy with the cable crimpers willing to give up an afternoon in exchange for bacon sandwiches, tea, and beer money?

count one - DON'T. Soda blasting is about the only blasting that you can do to a block. Imagine the impact of a piece of shot in an oil-way that you can't get out.....?
A caustic boil-out tank is the best way
count two - budget for about £50, an independent screen fitter shouldn't be too difficult to pitch up from yellow pages
count three - i could do it for you, but I'm in uper Tynedale, probably a bit far away. Don't go to an "auto electrician", you can guarantee that they won't do it properly...

It's for the cliched engine-block coffee table, so it won't be going back in the car... should have said that sooner 2woody said:

That sounds much more reasonable than the £200 Autoglass wanted from me... 2woody said:

Aye, I've seen the fruits of a local AE's labours before - running a thick wire through the grommet for the throttle cable... so it wore down and snapped. Fun job replacing that one... PM'd anyway Gassing Station | North East | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
