Recomend a Garage Darlington? Mini Service?

Hi Guy's

Wife took her 55 Mini in to main dealer for MOT yesterday,passed ok but quoted £270+ for pressure test and possible new thermostat because of coolant loss.
Anywhere else in the D,ton area that you would recomend to get this checked out? any advice very welcome

There aren't any MINI specialists in the North East *yet* I'm afraid (apart from Robertshaw Racing in Newcastle I think, not fully sure if they do servicing etc. though).

Falcon Engineering and Development in Middlesbrough did an excellent job on my engine rebuild for my JCW so I'd say it would be worth getting a quote from them if you're willing to travel across there. If you want some details send me a PM.

I use John's Auto Services in Darlington. 01325 486076. I've used him for years and he looks after my TVR when needed. Good alround bloke and very reasonable. He's on Longfield Road.
