Hey everyone,

this is the first time i've posted in here.

Well my Gf and i will be moving down from Glasgow to Teesside (still getting used to spelling of that and middlesbrough)

We are moving down as none of the uni's up here do the degree she wants, so teesside is the closest to go to.

I'm in the process of starting my own business just now, but i'll be near enough starting again once we move down.

Currently drive a Laguna Estate for photography stuff and my motorbike (sv650s suzuki) for fun.

I'd be looking to get an elise whilst down here, are there many trackdays down this way?

Anyway Hello (except to OlberJ as i've said hello to him enough)

No way chief! You never mentioned that. Whereabouts you moving to then?

Croft is right on your doorstep (Darlington).

When you moving down?

i hadn't got round to telling you lol.

well we haven't found anywhere yet as Kat wants somewhere near the uni, and i want somewhere that isn't usually on fire or with dead people.

Looking at flats through the accredited private student rents, but i want a garage lol.

You going to give us a hand when we are moving stuff down?

Welcome Adam, plenty of friendly enthusiasts around this way to play with, and if you're interested in an Elise, we've got plenty of active Loti owners who regularly meet up, no probs for a pax ride if you fancy one.

Welcome to Teesside smile

You may want to look at places in Linthorpe, Acklam, Coulby Newham and Marton though some of those may be a bit expensive if your a student. There's a brand new apartment building in Stockton few students aswell as a few dotted around town.

Avoid Easterside, Brambles Farm, North Ormesby and Grangetown.

Didn't know about Teeside Autodrome. Nice one Designer.

Is that a Stark Automotive conversion you have? Take it that it's as quick as it looks?

thanks for the warm welcome,

we will be down having a look at places next month,

then will know roughly where we will end up staying.

Honda'd elises are quite tasty but won't touch people will they are 25 insurance wise usually.

I would recommend looking to live in Yarm. Its a really nice location with great bars, restaurants etc. If you get somewhere near the trainstation, GF will be able to hop on the train and get to Teesside University in around 20mins.

Welcome to the area mate. As has already been said, try to locate out of the centre. There are some nice areas not too far away. Depends on you and the other halfs travel arrangements of course though.

Sure there are a few people who can lend a hand with any questions / if you need anything.

Hope the move goes well for you!

Myself and my other half looked at flats all day, and found a brilliant, nah brilliant isn't the right word FANTASTICALLY AMAZING property in Linthorpe.

put in our interested so now just waiting for them to do the credit check.

have to say, seen some nice cars around here,

grey/gunmetal R8 in Acklam Road yesterday and today, sounds good!

Red Ferrari 360 spider on acklam road yesterday,

and two s2 lotus elises on my way to hartlepool, One orange with hard top on (in this weather???) and a red s2 with roof off

have to say i like some of the cars around here, also some not.

so hopefully all goes best, will be down within the next 4 weeks.

Hi Adam

Parts of Linthorpe are ok, but you'll never find a perfect bit of 'Boro unless you are willing to pay Marton or Nunthorpe prices!

When does your GF start Uni? I was at Teesside for a year, hopefully she's not doing anything health based...

Oh, and welcome to the North East smile
