Apparently superunleaded will iron out the bumps at the start.

Odd how on the same R/R last month my car was given as 195 rear wheels, but only 230 at the fly. (251lbs torque)

Also I thought cars were normally tested in 4th (direct) gear.

Just curious.

Whichever gear is closest to 1:1.

Off wikediwowowpedia :

Transmission: C64-speed, close ratio with uprated clutch and cover, open differential

Gear ratios I/II/III : 3.116:1 / 2.050:1 / 1.481:1
IV/V/VI : 1.166:1 / 0.916:1 / 0.815:1
R/final drive : 3.250:1 / 4.529:1

So as you can see 5th gear is the closest to 1:1 gear ratio and it's then used for the run.

It does that, toyota gearboxes we normally use a 17.5% loss to calculate fwhp.

That's why it's always best to just quote wheel horsepower as that's what you're actually putting down on the road.

if it was that hot in the garage then your gonna be losing quite a few horseys, i normally get my race car motor rebuilt & dyno'd over the winter & when it broke & needed a mid season rebuild the dyno was down quite a bit & I was well peed off but the car went 100%
