Sorry Jeff, could not resist

Also may be worth trying the Westfield Forum - http://boardroom.wscc.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi

Just to hijack this thread a bit - has anyone swapped the engine from a Pinto based car to a zetec/vauxhall and if so whats involved and is it worth while?

Not done it but a few things to consider:

The exhaust will be on the other side of the car so you may have a redundant hole through the bodywork.

You'll need a new inlet manifold as a minimum and would probably need to rejet the carbs

New exhaust manifold

New bellhousing

+ lots of other things

As a general rule of thumb engine swaps seem to come in at around the £3-4k mark if done properly. Often swapping cars is more cost effective but it depends on specification.
