Hi,

Have posted this in the Lotus thread, then realised there was a local section, so...

Can anyone suggest a good place local to Teesside to take my Elise S1 to get the geometry set up please.

(not Falcon though!)

cheers

Copy of my post from the lotus section:

The wiki on Seloc (http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Geo_Setups) advises that Hunter alignment systems are up to the job of sorting out your Geo.

Revolution in Gateshead have one of these systems... http://www.revolution247.com/4-wheel-alignment-674...

I'm gonna try it out. They say £100 for a full alignment check and you can provide your own settings if you wish.

Are Revolution still in business? They used to be near my work on Southshore road but they aren't there now.

They've moved from Gateshead quayside over to Dunston way, not far from the Rocket. Not my type of shop to be honest, mostly full of halfrauds 'bling' these days.

True Sean, I'd never purchase anything from them in terms of products, but the hunters systems are universal and have great write ups. I guess someone has to be the guinea pig biggrin

Redline Racing, Teesside Business Park, Thornaby should be able to help. They specialise in Porsche but do get involved with other performance marques. wink Suspension setup & alignment is their speciality.

If you've got a spare day, I can thoroughly recommend Wheels In Motion - it's a fair old trip, near Hemel Hempstead, but he's an absolute genius, and a top bloke to boot. He's done everything from my (and many other) Omegas, through to Supras and Skylines, and he is one of the best in his field.

That always used to be my impression as well although I do know they have a pretty good reputation.

True Revolution do mostly impreza's etc but thats probably beacuse thats where the established business is and the MONEY...

I know they are trying to branch out a bit and loose the Chav image....

I've only had 2 instances with them, both very minor cosmetic type upgrades, and both turned out disappointing, both have since been replaced/redone properly by f1. They do seem popular with the scooby lot though, so they must be doing something right I guess to be fair.

Used Revolution for an alignment check on my old Porsche 911, very impressed with the set up and service. They have aviewing area with a screen to show the alignment settings as they go along.

I'm going to guess you spoke to Chris @ F1, and yes he knows his stuff inside out, VERY knowledgable and you're in safe hands there.
