NEPHer's on the hoon earlier this month know about my having to dive into a layby and restart the Omega - it seems that was a forewarning... after breaking down totally on the A19 t'other night, got towed home, and the engine is now half in bits while I investigate. Fingers crossed it's either something simple and cheap... or serious enough to justify a new engine...
In the meantime, the winterbox Micra is being promoted to full duties - previously that was my runaround, with the Omega for longer runs. Apart from getting a full service, it's going to seriously show up the lack of a stereo. I've taken the old one out, got a new one ready to fit, I'm just having some wiring issues. Any recommendations of people to use, and a rough price to wire in the new one (I can easily do the rest of the removal and refitting myself)?
Or, anyone handy with the multimeter and crimpers, fancy helping out in exchange for beer tokens and bacon sandwiches?
