Anyone know of one around the Durham / Gateshead area? Or any specialist wood turning places?

I know of loads down south that stock vast arrays of blanks, cubes, logs etc.. but none up here, and yell.com doesn't reveal much either.

I don't know if they sell wood turning blancks, but I've bought loads of fencing materials from Frank Ward Timber (Frosterly).......they're a sawmill, so have plenty of sizes of wood!

Used to be a place in North Shields in Hudson St that sold all types of timber.

Left NE in 2004 so things may have changed
There was a big explosion there a couple of year back...

Have a fair size saw mill, always seem quite decently priced.

Thanks, that last one looks like it will be worth a trip out at the weekend.
