Decent B&Bs within three hours drive of Teesside?

Looking for a decent B&B, maximum about £40/ person, for me and the OH. Main thing is, it's for next weekend, Saturday night only... if it's somewhere with a decent shopping town, and some decent roads, we'll both be happy.

We're looking at maybe Whitby or York area, main thing is we want a place that comes recommended, rather than trying one and finding it to be a hole...

I've stayed at the CB Inn up in the Dales. An hour from Teesside on the A66.

Very, very nice.

30 minutes equidistant between Richmond and Barnard Castle.

Oh, another one I've just remembered.

The Fox & Hounds at Slapewath.

Very pleasant. Handy for Whitby (it's half an hour down the road).
