moan We have had a 'good roads' discussion, now i want to tell you about a 'not so good' road, not to try.

Went out for a 5 hour blat/hoon/extended drive yesterday morning as the weather was decent.Ended up around Teesdale, looked at map and there was an unclassified road i had never been on.(i thought that looks good,i will try it)

If you head from Middleton-in Teesdale towards Alston there is a sign at Newbiggin reading Westgate. As you enter the narrow road you see a warning sign saying 'gates'
At this point me thinks 2 gates max ( 1 at each end )

ranting'oh no' there was 5 or 6, and i had to get out for each of them, and it was bloody cold at 600m.(and there was no sheep to chase.Just as well though,as i had forgotten my green wellies anyway)

The road itself is very open, however it is only just wide enough for a car.
So please dont go on this road it is a pain. RANT OVER !!!

At least 'brunch' at the Hartside cafe made up for it

Regards
Dave

Gutted

I went out looking for somewhere to have a bit hoon yesterday and found nothing but traffic.

£20 in petrol to get stuck behind Clio's and Yaris. Frustrating as fk!

Chris fella, give me a shout if you want a guided tour / blast out around my neck of the woods, plenty of B/C country roads where you'll be the only car for miles.

ps Mrs SeanyD says there nothing wrong with Clios tell him whistle !!

Sounds like everyone was out for a run on Sunday! We went over Hartside to Penrith and back. Lots of bikers but not as many Sunday drivers as i thought there would be driving

Sunday was quiet on the roads between 9 o'clock, up to about 1 o'clock, then there seemed to be more 'oxygen thieves' on the road. They do make good mobile obstacles for you to practice overtaking though.
Only seen a couple of motorbikes on the road all day, which is unusual for Teesdale.
