Looking at new premises for work at the moment and TVTE is rapidly emerging as a favourite destination. I'm just trying to figure out how much its going to add onto my commute. I'm currently based near Gateshead Stadium and commute from Whitley Bay. So I suppose my question is, how long is it going to take me from the South side of either the Swing Bridge or Tyne Bridge to get to and from TVTE in rush hour. I'm not expecting good news!

Well, I went to the Team Valley the other day to pick something up and didn't even consider the time I went. I left the team valley at about 4:30 and didnt get home till after 5:30....I live in Northumberland Park which is 2 mins away from Whitley Bay. I'd imagine it to be pretty much the same time in the morning too

Depends on what you're looking for, but there's some decent units up on the Nelson Industrial Estate in Cramlington too matey - one of my friends has just relocated there from South Shields and loves it smile

depends on many things but can easily take 10 minutes, on a morning you would have little problems, its getting off on a night time that could take 10-15 minutes just to get off the estate alone.

If its your own place and control when you arrive and leave I would be flexing the hours to suit. ALthough in reality its probs not a massive difference to where you go now with the felling bypass issues!

I was also looking for a building on TVTE, but couldn't afford at the time.

However there is a building on the End of earlsway (bensham side) That looks very tempting. Its on the right hand side and is in the Kitchen Works compound

Cheers gents. Unfortunately the actual location decision will ultimately be out of my hands otherwise somewhere north of the river would have been preferred. Doesn't sound like the commute will be too much worse.

I work just off lobley hill roundabout on team valley side and it takes literally 10 minutes at 6 on a night for me get to the other side of the Tyne. Just take the A184 back towards the bridge. Usually get held up for a little while going through past jesmond onto the coast road but not to bad on a normal night about 25-30mins to west monkseaton.

I used to have a warehouse just off Dukesway a few years ago - used to take me anything from 20min to 45min to get to David Lloyds on a nightime, just in time to check out the milfs and decent birds on the treadmillsbiggrin
