Recently bought a 530d as the daily workhorse, but i'm beginning to think i've bought a lemon yikes (see link here if interested)

It's been transported by AA back to the garage I got it from tonight but when I get it back I think I'll get it into a respected BMW specialist for a thorough check.

Can anyone recommend anyone???

Cheers

Cheers Cliff, will check them out.

Fad, I know I should have mate...or kept saving for an RS6... Must admit, when it runs ok it's a really nice car but I'm only funny when a car has let me down... can't see me keeping it long now

Teesside Autotech I would personally avoid. They couldn't be more unhelpful and dismissive when I asked them to replace and code my new air mass meter on my 530d.

The mechanic there phoned me claiming he couldnt get one of the hard to reach screws off so would have to charge 1/2 hours labour on top of what we agreed. Despite the inconvienience I said I will take the car back and try and do it myself and then drop it back in to save the £30.

It took me less than 5 minutes to sort it out, so in order to embarrass the mechanic I immediately drove the 1/2 mile back to Teeside Autotech and was greeted by the mechanic who should of been ashamed of himself. What an attitude!

Anyway it still didn't fix my problem but after paying my money this garage didn't really want to help or offer further advice.

I use them for my M and they are very good. Wouldn't let any other garage touch the car.
