Pit? Unlikely.

More likely that the stolen car attempted to break out of a controoled TPAC stop and jumped over the central wire barrier.

It seems Air Support have the whole thing on film anyway.

I heard about it on the radio so stayed at home.

Lets be clear - the responsibility for killing the innocent driver lands fairly and squarely on the shoulders of the theif who sole a car then drove it recklessly and ended up on the wrong carrigeway while trying to evade capture by the police. This is what causing death by dangerous driving should be used for, lets hope he gets a nice long stretch.

Thief has been charged with theft and death by dangerous driving.

Barrister will try and get it down to Aggravated vehicle taking. IMHO the thief should get a manslaughter charge or murder (impossible to prove I know).
