SSCC charge £350 +VAT for a 6k. Cheaper if you are a TVRCC member, they also do a bit waxoyling FOC.

Hello there down on the Tee's...

Anyone know of anyone further north...the right side of the river (the tyne that is) as it were!

Heard that an Aston specialist in or around consett was doing TVR work (including SP6's)...if I remember the name I will post it...

Also heard a rumour of someone in blyth...I live there and haven't come across anyone...?

Do alot myself but finding time harder to come by so interested in finding an alternative garage / specialist that know the score...

There was an indie in Edinburgh. My TVR was serviced there just prior to me taking possession. I can't find any details though and the service stamp is unreadable

I think it will be Aston Parts and Performance in Blackhill, Consett. Ex of the Aston workshop Beamish, they are an indie Aston workshop but also do regular prestige stuff Porkers, Audi, BMW etc...

They did a service on my Chimaera last yr when I was just about to get married and didn't have the spare ££££ for HHC. Provided them with the full service schedule acquired from the web, and gave them Steve Heath's book to refer to and they did a good job. I had them paint my hubs and calipers to smarten the car up for use at the wedding and they did a good job of that.

Can't comment on SP6 though, they did have a non-runner of a Tuscan in for ages...he said when he opened the engine he's not surprised it didn't run....(it was an early Sp6 I think), he couldn't beleive the state of it. Last I saw they were waiting for parts.

Not sure if they have done any other TVRs.

Cheers
Andy

Boroughbridge, though I have never been there. PH pages suggest they are a reliable and knowledgeable lot so probably worth a try

If it's of any use to you Bob, I used them when I had problems with my shocks.
I found them to be very helpful and they seemed to be good at what they did. As Joo said Steve Darvill is the workshop guy and Jon Waggitt is the Chief. If you're in that area they will be worth using.
I take it it's the indies in the other 'Boro you've been using?

Yes, the indie that I was using and that I spent much time promoting decided to up their prices to dealer levels. I still think their workmanship is superior to the dealers I have used but I have difficulty coming to terms with their prices.

Yes it's the first lot, and the second lot (Aston workshop) is where they came from before they setup Aston Parts & Performance

I was at SSCC Boroughbridge yesterday. smile

I was taking a pic of the supercharged Wedge on the ramp.

Nice people, very experienced, and a professional setup.
They had virtually every model of TVR in and around the workshop.

Well spotted Grahamwink I wondered where my old SX was.

I thought it has disappeared, check out my last post on this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Good to see it still kicking around, how'd she look and sound?
