After months of roadworks they seem to have removed all the cones from Moor Farm Roundabout overnight (A19 / A189 @ Cramlington).

It's now 4 lanes wide, but they haven't installed the traffic lights yet! So it's survival of the fittest out there! With lots of people not knowing which lane to be in!

What's the odds that it actually runs better without the traffic lights than with them installed and working?

That roundabouts always been a PITA...It never fails to ammuse me how many people havent got a clue which lane to be in...

or hang on that may just apply to all roundabouts..

Trust me - it does.

Two near misses this morning. Cars on the nearside nearly driving into me as they drifted across lanes...BAH!

Made worse by people who deliberately use the wrong lane to save a whole 20 seconds on their journey time!!!

Travel down the spine road to the office just off the moor farm roundabout and see it daily...near the front...look in the mirror...a car pulls out from the right hand lane 5 or so cars back and enters the middle lane to go straight ahead into town...pull out onto the roundabout only for the car now on your left to suddenly indicate right!!!! Floors it to get in front but invariably has to slow for other traffic then causes all sorts of problems as everyone else has to brake and avoid them - selfish tw*ts. Also happens when you are travelling north up the A19. Amazes me how people are willing to do this (every journey..?)...

This round about is a proper pain in the a*se! Similar to the silverlink roundabout? Mind, you, if you know what you are doing...? Also, is it just me or are the works taking a long time....?

The Silverlink roundabout is a right pain especially if you need to go down the Coast Rd every time I use it there seems to be some herbert cutiing across the lanes - while i am on the subj. the roundabout at Preston Grange ( Magic Lantern) seems to be square judging by tje amount of drivers driving straight ahead from the nearside lane!!!

Moorfarm certinly is interesting now. Since they've opened it up to the 4 lanes and people just go anywhere i try to avoid it as best i can now. Instead of going down the spine road from blyth i go through the back of the cramlington industrial estates and down to the seaton burn round about then hit the A1.
Much easier now and quieter.

Silverlink round about is easy biggrin But then its probly just knowing what lane to be in like most biggrin

it is truly awful now, try going straight over (3rd exit) when coming from the south (189? next to A19?)
