Fellas,
I need a favour please.
I have bought a house for renovation and I need to see if my 993 is going to fit in the garage. My 993 is at the menders at the moment, so I need to ask a PHer if they wouldn't mind coming round to mine to see if their car will go in my garage. If not.......I will need to muck about with the garage somewhat. I live near the centre of Newcastle.
I would be really grateful for your help.

Can you not just go off dimensions of the car (presumably available with a google) and measuring up the garage?

Hi. I have already done that (993s are 4.30 metres, my measurement is 4.40 metres) but there is nothing like putting an actual car in the garage to be absolutely sure. Maybe Tom Fergusson has one I could borrow?

Sounds like its going to be tight. Do you know how much width you've got for opening the door? My dad's 5 series was in my garage for a couple of weeks and had to be parked with its front bumper touching the back wall, wouldn't fancy having to do that everyday.

I can almost see Tom Ferguson's forecourt from where I'm sitting. Pretty sure they had the odd 993 last time I looked.

Hallo Johnny,

I'm in Sunderland and have 993C4 narrow body you can use as a template if you're not sorted, I'll send you my mobile number on your personnel email. I'm available Sunday except when the GP is on.

Hi David,
I am getting sorted a bit now.
We are going to try to lift the boiler/cylinder 4 foot in the air and that should mean the 993 fits in the garage easily.
So for the mean time, I don't need your help, but thank you very much for offering.
Thank you,
John
