Got a recall notice on the peugeot for some safety related work and booked into main dealers in sunderland , phoned up to see if car was ready to pick up , yessir just finished washing it , great saves me a job springs to my mind, anyway after getting the car home notice the car has damage to paintwork on tailgate, lots of small chips in concentric circles , has definitely happened when car in the garage possibly when washed ??

anyway service manager disagrees and states the damage is old - bolloks says I - and it goes further downhill from there ,

he's supposed to get back to me by end of the day after discussion with garage boss but I don't hold out much hope following our discussion,

so

what would you do in the circumstances

cheers

get photographic evidence, phone the manager if his position on the matter has not changed, ask him to repeat his explanation of it being old damage and say that you will take all his comments to peugeot .
contact peugeot direct and tell them the story.remember there is always someone higher to go to

The circular damage looks pressure wash nozzle sized!! It looks like someone has been washing the car braced against the back pressure then switching the spray off and lunging forward with the nozzle lance onto the paint work. They would have to be close to do this and it's easily done by an inexperienced person.

I wouldn't hold out much hope from the MD, Peugeot are c**p with custmer service. It has taken a dealer in Preston nearly six months to fix an oil consumption problem on my bro's 407. It needed a new engine, which is what I told their head mechanic back in December!!! It would be cruel to shaved monkeys to associate them with the people that work for Peugeot.

Yep agree with that looks just like a pressure wash nozzle has been hit against the paint
easily done but the garage should repair for free but i think you may have a battle on your hands . besst of luck hope it works out in your favour .
