Hi i need the front and rear tracking along with cambers adjusted on my clk, does anyone know of a specialist other than mercedes that will be able to do it?

I tried north eastern tyres and exhausts today and they adjusted my front toe, but the steering wheel does not sit central, it is off to the left and when i drive with the steering wheel central, it pulls to the right.

if anyone knows of a place other than mercedes that isnt so expensive, it would be great

Thanks,

I have to say I find Mercedes of Newcastle quite good and reasonable.

Phil at Staithes might be able to able you but he doesn't have modern alignment equipment that I know of.

How long have you had the car? Every Merc I have ever owned pulled slightly to the left on UK roads. I understand this is so you will drift to the curb if you fall asleep or unconscious at the wheel. My cars all pulled the otherway on foreign roads: i.e. they followed the camber. Are you sure it is not meant to be like this?

Also, have you checked your tyre pressures are even side-to-side: that can made a substantial difference.

Personally I would be going back to NE Tyres & exhaust and asking them to do the alignment again and this time make sure the steering wheel is dead centre as it should be. Don't be paying for a job twice, get it done properly in the first place.

Ive had the car just over a year and it did pull to the left, but when it was checked the toe and cambers were out of alignment...

and the tyres are all inflated correctly.

They didnt charge me, because they could not get it to sit central, they told me to try mercedes, but mercedes want £89 to look at the car, then an hourly rate to adjust the toe... plus an additional £140 to adjust the cambers... in total, over £200 to fix both the tracking and the cambers.... Id of rather just left it how it was!! now its a right pain in the neck!

Ive looked on the owners club and there is a place in hampshire, but its a tad far jester
