Not sure how close to the bone this post is, but if a mod feels the need to remove, then no problem.

Co insiding with my other thread, would be a good idea to have a data base of all the undercover squad cars people have seen in which areas.

So if people could post there sightings/ info, much appreciated.

So far...

• I saw 3 unmarked white new shape BMW 3-series driven by police near Corbridge - They had numbers in the roof, but that was about 2 months ago...

• I saw a black 3 series undercover on the A69 but that was a while back, last summer iirc

• Saw a black ST type focus with the blues and twos going a few weeks back

• Was followed by a unmarked darkish brown or maybe blue new shape BMW coupe on the A67 from Yarm to Darlo a few months back.

• Spotted a dark blue BM coupe the other day on the A19 with two uniformed officers in.Also that blooming new shape Merc ML in silver just seems to be everywhere I go!

• Just a heads up for anyone in the Durham area. There was a Honda 4x4 yesterday with hidden blue repeaters heading into the Honda garage near me, I think the bloke taking it in had knocked them on accidentally. It was dark blue and so dull I had to look on Honda's website to identify it as a CRV.

• There is a burgandy coloured Ford Focas in the Yarm area that iv seen with 2 police in. I seen the police who where driving a few hours later and when i spoke to them about it they played dumb.

There was also an unmarked dark green Volvo (T5 i think) that pulled me about a year ago on the A69.
Not sure if its still about, but i always slow down for green volvos now!

There's a silver 1 series BMW near Dishforth / Northallerton way.

There's a few based out of Thirsk that patrol the A19 up to Stokesley and A1 up to just south of Darlington and obviously south of Thirsk. 2 dark blue Volvo V70 estates, both have the additional mirror on near-side A pillar and tiny rectangular blue strobes in the grille. Also an 05 plate silver Impreza WRX with gold alloys and large rear spoiler. This has no distinguishing features that I've managed to spot apart from the white shirt & epaulettes in the drivers seat.

Passed a black 06 reg passat on the A19 near billingham yesterday, slowed down a bit when i saw the strobes behind his grille. Also noticed some volvo s60 and v70's working in teams around the thirsk-york area.

There was a black Ford Focus new(ish) shape, around Ryton area last week, near the comprehensive school as I was parked.

Was a male driving with female in passenger seat.

I know it doesn't really help but not all cars with blue lights behind the grille are undercover Feds. I've got a few mates who are senior firemen and they've all got them on their motors.

Red Octavia estate pulling someone north of Thirsk, A19.

'04 plate white 5 series BMW on the Darlington ring road this morning. It came flying up behind me and I saw the small lights in the grille. It overtook me straight away and there was a sticker on the boot "Police advanced driver training". PHEW

You wouldn't spot it so watch out, I saw it pull someone so I reckon it's definately on the nick.

Slightly OT but I drive to Newcastle every Thursday up the A1.

On about 3 occasions just past Durham I've seen 2 marked police BMWs on the opposite carriageway hard shoulder, lights full on blues flashing.

About 5 miles further up the A1 on the opposite carriageway I then see some geezer in a car with 2 marked police cars in the fast lane going like the clappers.

So is this the local toerags with nicked cars or a training exercise?

If it's toerags then do they like that day and time or do they just nick cars and get rolling road blocked all the time in the toon?
