Merc independant in NE area

Hi all, as my C-Class is just about to go out of warranty, does anyone know of any independent Merc garages in the NE area. To be honest the service they give cannot be any worse than the dealership in Newcastle!

Staithes are excellent in Dunston. All the merc taxi's go there and he looked after my e class when out of warranty. Does all the mercs at my work at very decent rates and is familiar with most probs.

Who's the best person to deal with at staithes, my w211 is out of warranty and due for a service.

Phil is the owner so I would give him a ring. It is a small garage with non of the frills associated with the main dealer but he has much greater knowledge of problems having serviced and repaired vehicles outside of warranty. His charges are very reasonable ie £190 for C+ service.
