Just a thought and I'm sure its already crossed your mind but have you not considered buying an everyday shed to run and put miles on etc. Come summer time and the weathers nice, wont you regret selling it

^^ yeah i have but i thought about other ventures, and to be in the best position, i need just the one car, i already use a nissan note as a semi hack. and if its gonna be just the one car, a want it to be something am not gonna be bothered about, i worry too much about the exige. lol

Maybe you could buy a standard Elise and slowly works towards building your perfect car. Full nitrons, body conversion, new lightweight alloys with sticky rubber, and engine conversion (supercharged Honda
) etc.
On another note there was an S1 Exige in the classifieds a few weeks back that looked like it was in great condition with 50k miles up for about £13/14k but it was gone by the next morning which is probably a cheaper option.

Sorry, not from the North East but having just sold my Exige for something more sensible I am already looking to buy another Lotus. Thought my input maybe of some value. I will be looking at an Elise S or 111s as money was a factor in the sale. Keep the Exige if money isn't a factor, trust me, everything else you're thinking of (nonLotus) will make you want to drive it into the first tree you see.

I had a 320d while working in Manchester..... 125ml each way daily from H/Pool
It was a good distance car.
However, I got more curtesy of the M1/M62 when in the Lotus than I did the Beemer.
People just won't let you in.....
