Thinking about giving the R500 a fresh coat of paint as it starting to look tired.

Can anyone suggest a good paint shop that will not take my eyes out smile

I think Heaton Park Coachworks is high regarded on this forum. Stu R had his Skyline resprayed there.

Their also a Lotus approved repair shop or something along those lines so probably more used to specialist machinary then your regular backstreet repair shop.

Theres also a place right at the bottom of Goldspink Lane in Sandyford that repair Lotus's too, but I've forgotten the name.

Very highly rated by me! As mentioned my GTR was painted there, top notch job done, really second to none on the quality stakes. Well worth a call, give them a bell and tell em stu with the house of kolor skyline sent you smile

The general concencious is the they are very good but also very expensive.

As I may be part exing the car I don't want to put too much money into it so any other suggestions welcome

It depends what type of work you're looking for really, if it's simple stuff they don't take the pee too badly, little pricey but not OTT given the quality of work.

I know a very good backstreet type bodyshop in sunderland if you're wanting a cheap but decent job.

Peter, Have you considered taking the car to TSK? They seem to be the default choice in Caterham circles.

If its just painting, take it down to Pride & Joy Classics in Middlesbrough. They did my Lotus for me after putting it in the rapeseed at Croft. Very good value for money and quality of finish. I know its not Newcastle, but not too far away. Definatly worth while popping into for a quote.
