Well I’m off looking for a new car this weekend, think I will go up to HHC and have a look at the Yellow Cerbera they have had for sale for ages! I think it’s one that belonged to a friend of mine in work but I have not had a chance to ask him yet.

I have narrowed my choice down to maximum spend of 30k and the following
Subaru RB320 (Supposed to be in a different league to my current Subaru)
Cerbera 4.5
Noble M12 GTO 3R
Lotus Exige
M3 CSL (Same as with the Subaru, heard they are a different drive to a standard M3 which I got bored with and sold)

Anyway I’ll keep you informed. I’m more than likely to get something completely different by either blowing the bank or getting a track focused cheaper car, because I know what I’m like and so does Mrs GMan!!

Don't get a csl. Ran mine for 9 months and got so bored of it doing everything perfectly. Went up to otterburn and accross to Rothbury along the back lanes and got out at the far end feeling refreshed. Car was awesomely quick point to point but steering feedback v. poor and gearbox too easy.

Driver involvement is not up with some of the other cars, although 320 also suffers from poor steering.

There's only three cars on your list that will thrill and excite you.

Cerbera, Noble and Lotus.

If you look at the Cerb in HHC, I'm sure Tony will look after you and the car will be fantastic.

If you need some advice, then just drop me an e-mail, I'll happily talk Cerbera's all day long. Hell, if you fancy trawling the classifieds, for the price of a pint, I'll check a car out for you.

G-Man - There are enough guys on here who will take you out in there cars to help you decide.

Obviously, from my unbiased point of view I'd recommend the lotus.

Lotus is a good choice, as is the Noble, but there's only one beast on your list and that's the Cerb. Don't forget that the Cerb is a GT car and you can use them every day, has a large boot that swallows the weekly shop, is a 2+2 and will happily do 190 mph and 0-60 in 3.9 secs.

I used mine as a practicle family car, used it on the commute to work and enjoyed scaring the crap out of passengers on rides out. It's just such as shame I didn't get to give you a ride out that time we met up.

They don't have to be as loud as what mine was, but it's fun.

Well I didn't get far looking this weekend.

I was with Mrs GMan at the eye clinic all Friday morning as she has an ulcer on her eye!

So I've been nursing her all weekend and have been back again this morning.

Got a couple of days free mid week so going to get out then I hope.

I think you meant to say this actually.

Well I didn’t buy any of the cars I was interested in. My circumstances have changed a lot and I’m now working in London 4 days a week if not travelling within EMEA. So had to get a car that Mrs GMan wanted.

So I put a deposit down on a BMW 645 yesterday for her. She’s happy and I suppose it will do for me when I’m home.

Im with charles deffo the exige s and im not biased at all laugh . Really though the Exige S is the perfect package for a performance car, ok its not practical etc but this wasnt something that bothered me. The handling and pace of the thing is incredible plus you will only pay a bit £200 for road tax and its far cheaper to run than most of that list topped off with real head turning looks!

Pick my 645ci up tonight.

So if you see a silver one with Alpina alloys on it, it's me. But most probably the wife.

I think there may be some crossed wires here. The picture I can see on this thread is somebody sitting on a chair with a load of stuff piled on top of them.

I've got a 645ci in my view. If crossed threads I take my wit comment back.

However I'm seeing my car, that I have uploaded to my profile pic.

What about now, this is the link to my profile pic showing my car in my view.
