I actually enjoyed my drive into work!

Normally, I cruise up the A19 and then sit in the jam at the junction with the A66 as traffic from north & south meet to go towards 'Boro.

This morning - no congestion! Sailed up the A19 at a more than acceptable leptonage, then onto the slip road ready to deploy the air brakes - but no need, straight off and onto the A66 with no waiting.

I can only think that the ban on high-sided vehicles on the northern section of the A19 was the cause...and leave readers to ponder on the implications.

I've experienced similar traffic-free early morning journies into the Boro on a few occasions. I stopped thinking about the reasons as it always gave me a headache, or maybe that was the smog hehe

Fortunately, as of Monday my journey to work will be approximately 3 minutes long, so no more A19 shenanigans for me unless it's for my own purposes at the weekend biggrin

Im from stockton to redcar and pass your a19 to a66 sliproad as im almost always slowed down to about 10 through it!
The solution is the a66 is funny in that if i set off to work at half 7 i get an awfull lot of traffic, if i set off at 25 past 7 i breeze there.

maby you were a tad early?
