They usually meet in Austins Bar @ the criket club, but have been mucked about a number of times now. They've decided to give The Church Mouse ago (they've met there before now) and see how it goes.

They meet the first Monday of the month.

All welcome, especially Lotus wavey

Its not bad there. We had to got to the pub next to it which was in some way better, more friendly bus as we have been meeting at the mouse for over 2 years I did not want to change the venue

wavey chaps,

I wasn't even aware NELOC existed until I read the post. I'm currently a member of NYLOC, and attend their monthly meetings when I can. TBH though, a 200 mile round trip is a bit difficult to stomach, especially during the winter months, so I fancy a trip along to meet you on the 4th. Is the time arranged nearer the date ?

Chris.

About 7:30-8pm generally.

A VX, why not, it was built at Hethel.

I'll have the Excel there around 7:45ish.

What is the fascination with this shit pub apart from geography? There must be somewhere else more friendly and "real"?

The Lambton Worm along the road at Birtley has a huge back room that seems to sit empty most times i've been in. Parking is a bit crap though.

I have been asked not to post NELOC meetings on the forum in future.

The current members seem to dislike advertising or promotion of the club in a public and accessible area.

Perhaps that's why few people know it exists.......I dispare.

I feel sorry for the trouble you've gone to. Thats why I haven't belonged to a traditional car club for 15 years, you get a hardcore group of about 20 people who think it's run for the benefit of them and don't really want it to get any bigger.
