Just wondering if there is anyone in the north east who wants to swap a standard exhaust for a straight thru?

i need an untouched exhaust to make a jig for a new exhaust project...either that or i shall just get in touch with one of the breakers and see if i can get a s/hand one.

cheers

Andy

No - well yes but i have got a project that i am starting...i need a standard exhaust to make a jig and then i am going to make it so that you can either have it silenced or straight thru at the push of a button on the dash...that way i can start it quietly in the mornings and then switch to loud mode on the open roads!!!

Hi Andy - as far as I can tell my exhaust is standard. I've got to take off the manifolds soon as there're blowing at the gasket. (cross fingers and touches wood that a bolt doesn't snap)

Heard a 500 straight thru at last week's TVR meet in Newcastle - sounded great - so I may be interested...

I guess the worst case is the heads have to come off - and it's been a while since I've poked round the inner workings of a engine. Slightly nervous about it! I was thinking of asking HHC to do it - but i promised myself i'd do all the work on the car - part of the fun etc! Plus I'll probably save a fourtune.

I was planning to take off the full exhaust while i'm at it and getting a mate to weld in the pipe in the box anyway.

Off work this weekend so i'm going to have a go - I'll give you a heads up if it snowballs out of control! With my luck in a months time I end up with a new cam, a big bill and a cataloge of Rover v8 stories to bore people down the pub with!

well if you want a straight thru we can do a swap if you want...then i can make a jig of the standard and if you are not happy with the straight thru we can swap back...its up to you?

Like i say - i have got 4 days off now so if you do end up needing a hand give me a shout...
