Hi Tony

Yes its an all new parts build so going on a 08 or later plate.
Its going in for sva in its tame normaly asperated form.
The plan is to use a standard engine till I get the feel of the car and get the suspension set up etc.

There is a race series for them but I dont have time to attend them all so it may run at york and ocasional track days.

Should be fun on the road with 0 to 60 times of 2.6.

Sva test should be easy as the car has a nice rounded shell.

Hi Ateam

The other car is a yamaha R1 powerd Zcar mini. It sadly has to go fore sale soon as I am running out of space.

The turbo I have has two housings. There has been some debate as to wether the twin or single spools faster. So I bought one of each housings. The twin enty requires a more complex header to get the ideal sequencial input.

Thanks for your interest

Man am I suffering from bad timing with everything at the moment - Anyway welcome to PH and in particular the NE forum. I've been wanting to build a Z-cars mini for a while now, and looking at yours makes me want one even more. Just wish I wasn't back off to work tomorrow, so I could have a look around yours first hand, the DVD's are great but not quite the same as a real one. Looks fantastic BTW, how long has the build taken so far?

Hope to see you along on one of our runs when the beast is finished. - fancy swapping for an Exige S?

Hi Ian, welcome to NEPH, looks like a very interesting project. 2.6 seconds - jeez, hopefully see you around at one of our runs out when you get it finished.

I'm no mechanic, so can't fully appreciate the pics, but the stats speak for themselves - fantastic car/project.

See you around, welcome again.

Hi A team, The turbo is one that was fitted to the bmw 745i back in the 80s and also 911 and 930 porsches. Very hard to get hold of a new one these days. The waste gate is going to be external mounted to the turbo housing via a hole bored in the side (44mm TIAL).
It going to have two dump pipes, I will post pics later. Thanks for your interest.

Pbirkett, Hi paul how are you and hows the honda, still going strong I hope.

The hole will be bored where the serial number is then a tube welded in place for the gate.

Here are a few snaps of the R1

Busy sorting the wiring out on the busa at the moment.

Hi froggie thank you for your interest. Yes I use LSD diffs the R1 mini has sierra cosworth diff internals modified to take a 44 tooth rear sprocket. This is sealed and filled with grease/oil.
The busa powered one has a purpose built quafe diff. I need diffs to make them road legal.

What sort of info/links do you require?

Here,s A vid of chris in his monte carlo. By the time he reaches 3rd gear its doing 100mph.
