Soooo, casting aside all this nonsense happening on the forums at the minute, have any events / meets / runs out been thought up for this year yet? It'd be a shame if the year continued as it started on NEPH, but I'm sure the genuine PH'ers amongst us will still be game, as it were.

Just wondering if there's any events in the planning, even if just a bite to eat and a chinwag at Shafto's or wherever ? or is it too soon in the year for all that ?

Cheers,
Stu

Sounds good to me. About time I met some of you lot. So count me and all my alter egos in (sorry couldn't resist).

We did go through a brief meet regime which was referred to as 'Wednesday Night Run Out'. Originally a weekly event but I understand it ran out of pace quite quickly, probably because weekly was just too often.

Might be worth re-inventing that particular wheel, although I suspect monthly will be often enough.

I'm happy to stick my head above the parapet and suggest a meet on the first Thursday of each month, that would make the initial get together February 7th (if that isn’t too far off).

Don't panic, the usual bunch of event organisers have been working hard over the past few months putting together a calendar of events and meets for our northeast sports car friends.

It's still early days.

Sorry Bob, but why is the subject closed? Is it that only certain members are permitted to organise events or meets, meaning everyone else just has to abide by these rules?

Hopefully I'm on entirely the wrong track here and therefore other members are allowed to make suggestions around this topic also............

The subject Bob is refering to in Ray_Von's post is something completely different to your subject re. runs out & meetings.

Anyone can organise a run out if they so wish.

I'm looking forward to coming along on one of the run outs sometime this year. I've been lurking for a long time, but really don't want all the crazyness of late to affect my (and other new comers) chances of being allowed to come and play...
Hopefully get to meet some of you guys in the flesh soon!

Thanks Jim, The issue that Ray was speaking of was to do with several new members that signed up to troll. Most of the NEPH forum users find this behaviour unacceptable so some of us acted to ban the offending people. We need to move on now

As you well know Bob I totally agree with this course of action, I must have simply misunderstood your previous post spin

What happens, do you post on this site or somewhere else?

If you need any help let me know. I am also happy to organise things.

I will be organising a trackday, again, at Langbaugh, Middlesbrough. Only thing is though the biggest cars allowed will be elises or exiges but I know there are quite a few owners on this forum. Nothing personal re other cars ie TVRs, Porsches etc its just that the main event is for sevenique type cars and Largbaugh is not really big enough for larger cars.

Like I say let me know if you want help

Last time I did the sums on this Langbaugh were £2k more than Croft for a weekend daytime event. That made no sence, Croft is a far better track.

Thanks

Agreed but we organise it for the Monday which is much much cheaper.

Based on 30 cars the cost is £85 per car including lunch and that open pit all day 9-5.

Croft is a better/faster track but Langbaugh is also fun and they are a bit more relaxed re noise smile
