Following on from M15ley, I want to comment on North-Eastern Tyres and Exhausts in Middlesbrough.

I popped in last friday knowing my fronts were getting low. I was told to take a seat with the children in the warm waiting room, given tokens to get free drinks from the machine, the TV had kids programmes on to amuse the older one, there were toys and free internet access.

Older one needed the toilet, so I took him expecting a grime hole but found a pristine bog, plus changing facilities including complimentary nappies and wipes for the younger one!!

Alex was taken by the receptionist to pick a gift from under the tree, and everything was explained and checked throughout (tyre a was Xmm, tyre b was Ymm, etc, plus query on tracking, so we'll check that for you Madam, etc).

Staff were friendly and helpful without patronising me! Will happily go back!

You should have gone to the place your dad uses, C&S Tyres in the Boro. Tyres are fitted by people who actually have some GCSE's, they take good care of your car and wheels, they can also be trusted to torque your wheel nuts up properly. They are usually 10 - 15% cheaper than those tyre monkey outlets and you can visit the Boro while you wait.

Will bear them in mind, where abouts are they? My grandad told me to go to NET&E as he said they were about £20 per tyre cheaper than anywhere else he had found.

That's because granddads only know about other franchise tyre outlets.

I went to Waitrose in Durham ,( although it was quite a while ago), and the nice bloke at the fish counter picked out a nice tail end of Salmon for me.

Ah well now Bob, I only started using them because we do at work, and they have half a clue about bike tyres. I used to go to Tyre Exchange paperbag and fit part-worns to the TVR paperbagpaperbag

scratchchin Not sure why one would want to 'visit the Boro' though... perhaps to urinate in an alley or do some shoplifting... hehe

idea Not that I'm suggesting Stardust would do such things... although she DID have a capacious handbag with her... scratchchin

I've heard a lot about 'Parmo' but quite pleased to say I've never sampled one. Can anyone actually comment first hand on what these taste like?

Anything that can make the Doner Kebab seem like a healthy and tasty alternative should be avoided, this includes parmo's hehe
