Hi everyone, here's something to think about over Christmas lunch! After much negotiation we have secured an option on a date for an exclusive day at Spa in Belgium, and it will be mid-week at the beginning of April. However it is quite expensive and therefore I need to have a good idea of who'd be up for taking part. I would restrict the number of cars participating to 45 and would be looking to charge no more than £300 per car for the full day. I would propose that this would be our first trackday of the year with two to follow at our more regular venue of Croft. Sorry to post this here on the general NE forum but I wanted to quickly gauge folks reactions and make the offer to our local enthusiasts first!
Best wishes to everyone for Christmas and the New Year.

Tony, I'm interested for £300. I've camped here previously: http://www.eaurouge.nl/index_en.htm

I'd love to do this and for Spa with that few cars, that price is an absolute bargain. Unfortunately my little one is due about then and I don't think the missus would be too happy about me being in another country. frownDan@JPS

I would be delighted to have a 993 Porsche along for the day! Indeed, I think that we'll have to widen the scope of the cars attending to make it viable. We normally restrict particpation to TVR, Lotus and Noble with the odd Atom, Aston and such like thrown in at Croft. Here I would hope that we might attract some of our contintental sportscar cousins to attend! Keep the feedback coming and Happy New Year to all!
Best regards, Tony

Hi Tony - on top of the £300 for the track, how much is usual for the rest? I've never been to Spa so how far is it from say, HHC*? I'm interested but as usual I can't seem to be able to plan more than a week or two in advance right now. As soon as I settle down into whatever new job comes along (say Feb) I should be able to commit.

  • Are we talking 500+ miles? Is it usual to take a week over this (travel, socialising, blatting around Belgium, etc.)?

Hi Tony,

I would be very interested in attending the Spa Track Day, I will also put the word out to suitable candidates.

Happy New Year to one and all, and keep it on the black stuff.

Cheers,
Ian. Noble 3R

thanks Tony, I usually attend the Porsche orientated track days held at Croft by the Porsche Club and Specialist Cars of Malton and have even tried Donnington, I'll understand if you obtain sufficient numbers of your regular crowd or if the Porsche presence become contentious.

best wishes

A bump so this motoring-related thread doesn't get overlooked.
