When did the Mini Countryman become the Clubman?

A countryman

New "Clubman"
Am I just being dim (I'm sure someone will inform me that I am) but as a former Clubman owner it appears that mini are now selling what used to be the Countryman as the Clubman?
Maybe Countryman isn't that fashionable / sort after enough name???

Someone said it was to do with BMW not keeping the rights to the name countryman but keeping Clubman.
Thats correct - when they acquired all the copyrights etc. they failed to ask for/pay for/acquire the 'Countryman' brand -
Another stupid move is that the single 'suicide' door will remain on the right hand side of the vehicle (opening on to the kerb abroad) despite them building a right hand drive version for our shores and therefore the door opening in to the road - just where you want to let you kids step in to
