Looking to get my 330d remapped within the next month or so. I know DMS are the recommended tuners, but with them being miles away i'll be adding another £££ on just to get there and back. I was wondering if anyone knew any good companys in the North East. Im in Hartlepool.

£495 plus VAT, so about £580 all in.

They have just remapped our Clio 197 and it was that amount including coming to the house. We are about 1 hour away from them but I did enquire about other locations and is was the same cost regardless of location.

They might give a 10% discount if you bring the car to them.

Dont pay through the nose for a remap , I pay £200 for early 330ds and £300 for late model beemers done at my door by a guy Ive used now for the last 2 years without any issues . Ive had dozens of my customers bmws done inc my own E90 335d. I get him up once a month and he will do 10 remaps in a day hence the discounted price.

drop me a message via my profile or from my website if you want it doing or any more info. Dont be put off by the cheaper price thinking you are getting something different as you dont same gains same service less £££££££££ no brainer really.

your always better off getting any car remaped at somewhere with a rolling road, you will get a before dyno run than have you car re-mapped then an after run so you know whactly what your paying for and that your car is leaving to workshop safe and sound.

fair enough these people that come do your door might do a decent job for a cheap price but you never know exactly what your car is running and if your money was well spent, and lets face facts everyone like to brag about their figures down the pub.

prices at vsport start from £395 with rolling road runs gains are around 45bhp and 70lb/ft, well have more options after the new year aswell

Well on PH you are not permitted to advertise at all. You obviously failed to read the rules when you joined. Don't push this one or you will find yourself in trouble.

The only reason we are letting you get away with it is that your attempts to promote Vsport are having the opposite effect.

In fairness however it is a good idea to have any re-mapping done in conjunction with a proper dyno run. There is a garage in Newcastle, not far from the Freeman hospital that has been doing this kind of work for years and has a good reputation but the name escapes me at the moment. I'll have a dig around and post the name when I find it.

I think it is R&P Woods you are thinking of - I was told a little while ago they don't use the rollers anymore but how true that is I can't say for sure.

yea rp woods is the other company yout thinking about not sure if there still going as strong as they used to. but as i said with a company that has a rolling road you know where you are when you come and when you leave. the thing with a re-map is that allot of the time you come across the whole placebo affect when you think you have allot more power as youve just spent allot of money and been quoted a gain. but you never know where you are.

R&P hasn't used the rollers for ages, I couldn't even convince him to put the Cerb on them.

Thanks guys! It was R&P I was thinking off, suprised to hear they aint what they were as they sure did some astonishing stuff with a frieds Escort Cossie a few years back. However I have also heard some good stuff about Turbo Pacs but no personal experience.

When I was in woods at the beginning of the year, Paul told me that they get allot (yes, I know thats not how you spell it!) of people wanting pointless rolling roads done (just to get a figure to show off with), and as such he prefers to let them take that business elsewhere. He was still using the rollers however, and said he would squeeze the westy in if/when i wanted the work done.

What about I & J Macdonalds in Lanchester. They have a rolling road and have been tuning Morgans for years. I haven't used them but I plan to as soon as my car is back on the road.
